The Future of Music Coalition presents: From Griffintown to the Plateau, examining Montreal’s ecosystem of art and technology.

Thursday, September 22, 2011 - 11:30 - 13:30

Over the years, Griffintown has evolved from an Irish working class neighborhood to a world renowned center of technology.  Drawing on the experiences of several vibrant cultures and dedicated technologists, Montreal is establishing itself as a engine of innovation.  But what does this mean in the long term?  Will these new technologies also become useful tools for an already robust cultural scene?  And how will new technologies enhance the consumer experience of a multifaceted and diverse community?   Can we look at the intersection of art and technology as an ecosystem of consumers, entrepreneurs and artists?  Join us for an interactive discussion exploring an optimistic look at the future.
