Asobi Seksu
This group articulates a far greater sound than the sum of their influences (shoegazing dream-pop) would suggest: layering soaring melodies over rhythmic groundwork (nods to the Liverpudlian pacing of Echo & The Bunnymen), while exhibiting a gentle humanist strain in their lyrics, sparing us the overt theatrics of lesser fare. — JW3
