araabMuzik (of Dipset)
He may only be 22 years-old, but Araabmuzik is already heading up a new breed of producers boldly reshaping the boundaries of hip hop and its influences. Originally from Providence, Rhode Island, Abraham Orellana developed a rabid following through a series of online videos showcasing his impossibly nimble touch on an MPC drum machine. He was signed by DukeDaGod to Diplomat Records and flourished as the label’s “secret weapon”, crafting hits and hood classics alike for Cam’ron, Juelz Santana, and Jim Jones, culminating with his role producing Dipset’s triumphant reunion song, “Salute.” His debut album Electronic Dream, an explosive take on the pristine textures of dance music, has been met with glowing reviews and his live performances are already a thing of developing legend. Beyond the insane MPC calisthenics, it’s his instinct for genre-shattering bombast that makes Araabmuzik one of the only producers alive with the ability to dominate a crowd by himself. -Liam O'Keefe
